My Health Concerns Me: How should I Deal With My Health Issues?

Is it easy for you to address your health concerns as soon as they arrive?

It is important to stand up to your health if you feel you are having issues with it. Know one should live in fear of getting back healthy, or to go to a doctor (or gynecologist) to see if they have any issues with what bothers them. If you feel something is not right, and feel the need to go see a doctor, then by means, do so – don’t wait!
It could save you to check to see if you have an untreatable or treatable illness, by going in and getting checked if you feel any type of complications. Doctors may be able to detect things early. If your “lucky” you may be able to get rid of curable sicknesses or prevent the incurable.
In some cases, there are some health issues we cannot tell if we have anything wrong with us or not (like fibroids) just by the symptoms. Even though conditions, (like fibroids), may have some symptoms, there are some symptoms that are hard to go by like: painful sex, painful periods, back aches, leg pain, and fatigue. I mean those are common feelings most people get, like who doesn’t ache when they’re on their period? Who wouldn’t think it is normal for it to be painful?

Likewise, when you work a lot, or live a busy &/or stressful life, who doesn’t feel fatigued. That just doesn’t do if for me enough to go to a doctor and say, “I feel something is wrong with me.” Extremely heavy/irregular menstruation, spotting, or pelvis pain could surely ring an alarm that something is not right though. I would definitely suggest going to see a doctor at that point.

Furthermore, there are people that don’t like to go in for a visit. They tend to not want to be touched or go through the uncomfortable feeling at the doctor, but I say that that should be the least of your worries. At least you don’t know the doctor from your neighborhood, it is someone you see every so often, and you most likely don’t have to worry about the embarrassment of seeing your doctor at the baseball game or local grocery store; rather getting healthy should be your main focus. I say that to say I encourage everyone who really care about their health, to forget about the embarrassments and uncomfortable feelings and regularly see a doctor. It is just as important to have a gynecologist as well.
Other than the shame or uncomfortableness of going to the doctor, and the fact that some people don’t know if they have an issue because it isn’t obvious enough, or the one’s that think something may be wrong, but not sure, so they ignore it – how about people who just don’t go in because of they don’t want to affect their lifestyles? It seems it would be much easier the forfeit their relationships, or job, or what have them, than to ignore the fact that they need to get checked. I mean, there are some who are afraid their job, friends, family, or significate other would find out, or just don’t want things about them on record, or maybe they themselves don’t want to hear bad news, so they just don’t go. There is absolutely nothing wrong with taking care of you. There is probably no one that will take care of you better than you, so if you care about you, then there is no job, relationship, or person that should get in the way of you caring for you. If you feel something is wrong, go see a doctor immediately.

Last but not least, some people may not have the money to pay for a doctor visit. Not everyone has the money to pay for insurance to go to the doctor. Even with it being cheap, there are people that are spending to they’re last dime (they have kids that needs, food, clothes, education, supplies, and allowances. Parents need gas for work, maintenance on their cars and homes, food in their homes, clothes, etc.; must I go on?). Furthermore, not everyone is old enough to qualify for Medicare, nor does everyone qualify for Medicaid. It is hard to be able to afford insurance. There are some sources out there that are helping, but it isn’t always easy. There are a lot of jumping through loops to qualify for this and that, but even though not all jobs offer benefits. I definitely suggest people to find the ones that do. It is a good source to have, not to mention if you’re raising children or are considered living on low-income, and going through the Medicaid program, which is also helpful – that is if you have kids or are considered low income. I do know some who are not considered low income, but still struggle. I know it is a tough situation.

Every health issue is just as important as others. If not, it could lead to something
bigger. One thing could affect another, which could cause worst complications
than the other. Here is a list of health concerns that people may not think are a big deal, and may ignore the symptoms because they may not seem like a huge deal…
LIST OF HEALTH ISSUES THAT MAY HAVE SYMPTOMS PEOPLE IGNORE
Urinary Incontinence
Constipation
Sexual Problems
Depression
Memory Problems
It is important to make sure you have the proper medical insurance so that you be able to see a doctor when needed. No matter how big or small the issue seems. It could help you in the long run. Every issue is a big issue. It may not be easy to tell your doctor you have a urinary, sexual, or constipation issue, but you should much rather than be willing to tell a secret to a stranger that will help you than to keep it to yourself or to do nothing and suffer. Make it a duty to reach out and find the right assistance, resources, or job that will give you the proper health insurance to care for all your concerns.

Ending Question: What was a time that you have had concerns regarding your health and ignored it? What was a time when you quickly scheduled an appointment (or went to the ER) because you were very concerned about your health, even if you felt it might not be severe?
